Epinions Can't decide whether it's a compact or a dSLR. Ends up satisfying neither.

Pros: Quality built-in lens with impressive zoom range. VR helps reduce blur from handheld shots.
Cons: Poor low light performance. Too big for a pocket.
The Bottom Line: I was looking for something that would give me dSLR quality in a pocket-sized package. Unfortunately, the P80 is neither of those.

Epinions Coolpix P80 is a dud.

Pros: 18X zoom nice and can go to ISO 6400.
Cons:

Battery consumption, atrocious ergonomics.

Review: Tried to upgrade from Coolpix 5900 to P80. What a miserable experience. As much potential as the camera has it falls short in battery life and ergonomics. The battery and memory card use thesame slot mounted on the bottom. So if you use a tripod ...
