Each Formula Ford driving session commences with a safety briefing and introduction to our Van Diemen Zetec 1800 cars. During the briefing our patient instructors will show you the controls and switches. Then you are made comfortable in the form-hugging seat and six-point harness. With the engine started , you'll feel the sensations that these thoroughbred racing cars can deliver. Out onto the track, you go for a 10-lap familiarisation session on the main straight. Then our instructors take you for a few laps around the main circuit in a road car to familiarise you with the layout of the track. Before long, it's your turn to drive an 10 lap session on the main, south circuit, learning the lines and braking points and reaching speeds around 150km/h. After the BBQ lunch, you will then drive two further 10 lap sessions at increasing RPM limits. In total, you will experience 40 laps around the circuit.
