Nicknaming his new set of wheels “Pork Pie”, he offers a ride to a stranger, John, whose wife has just left him and returned home to her family in Invercargill. With anarchic cheerfulness the two new friends set out on a road trip traversing the country from top to bottom, where John hopes to reconcile with his estranged wife.
