Advances in Celestial Mechanics and Hamiltonian Systems

The aim of the IV International Symposium on HamiltonianSystem s and Celestial Mechanics, HAMSYS-2001 was to join topresearchers in the area of Celestial Mechanics, Hamiltonian systemsand related topics in order to communicate new results and lookforward for join research projects. For PhD students, this meetingoffered also the opportunity of personal contact to help themselves intheir own research, to call as well and promote the attention of youngresearchers and graduated students from our scientific community tothe above topics, which are nowadays of interest and relevance inCelestial Mechanics and Hamiltonian dynamics. A glance to theachievements in the area in the last century came as a consequence ofjoint discussions in the workshop sessions, new problems werepresented and lines of future research were delineated.
