Excellent performance at a low price

The Bottom Line: I am very happy with this monitor and would of bought two if I have another computer.
I ordered this LCD monitor from Staples during their sales event and unlike the other review I've got nothing but great things to say about my particular unit; it is actually a 21.6" monitor by the way. I have a fairly new PC with an EVGA 8400 GS video card (512MB of video memory) and using DVI connection. There are no dead pixels, my video card and the monitor automatically synchronized and 1680 x 1050 @ 60Hz is the optimum setting for me. The image quality is way crisper than my old 19" ViewSonic UltraBrite and the color is vivid and deep, I'm in a room with fluorescent lighting and I find the Movie setting with "Warm" selected offers the best contrast. The stand is firm but easily wobbled if it gets pushed so this monitor is definitely not something that you can lean on. I can browse and read articles on the Internet without eye strain and type in MS Word for a long time without getting cross-eyed. I do play a lot of Unreal Tournament 2004 and this monitor shows great contrast between different levels of black, it also kept up with everything on the screen without producing the ghost effect. This monitor is a solid performer and is great for anyone who isn't looking to spend a lot of money and don't mind excluding shiny cases and built-in accessories such as speakers, microphone and webcam.
