Excellent shaver.

The Bottom Line: If you don't mind the high initial price, the loud noise and the regular replacing of cleaning cannisters than this shaver is HIGHLY recommended for its closeness of shave.
Got this for half price during a xmas promotion. I previously used a rotary shaver all my life. After buying the latest and most expensive rotary shaver last year I wasn't impressed anymore with the closeness especially for the price I paid. Heres the bottom line. This shaver shaves way way closer! It really is like night and day. To me it seems as close as a blade(even though I don't use a blade). This technology has left the current rotary technology in its dust. It is a bit loud (actually way louder than a rotary). Also the instructions tell you to shave BEFORE washing your face. This takes some getting used to but it does make a big difference in the closeness of the shave. Maybe the body oils on the beard make for a closer shave? After shaving before and after I washed my face I can confirm that following the instructions and shaving before you wash makes a huge difference. Also I would be remiss if I never mentioned that the cleaning cannisters have to be replaced on a regular basis and there is a cost associated with that. Also I press the cleaning button as required after my shave and the shaver vibrates while it is being cleaned so if your partner stays in bed while you "shave and go" then he/she may not appreciate hearing the shaver turning on and off automatically whilst being cleaned.
So my bottom line is: if you don't mind shaving before you wash, and if you don't mind the noise and if you don't mind paying for the cleaning cannisters then I believe this is by far the closest, most comfortable shave you can obtain without a blade.
