Health in a jar
Pros:
Fresh fragrance, vitamins and minerals, push dispenser
Cons:
No sun protection
The Bottom Line:
A fabulous boosting cream for any skin type, but drier skins might need to use it as a primer as recommended, whereas an oilier skin can use it alone.

Author's Review
I have oily/combination skin, depending on the time of the year, so when I received a sample of this cream I was very wary of trying it.
It is too rich to be used as a primer under my regular face cream, as suggested by Clarins, also it has no sun protection in it, so I can't use it during the day, but wow... what a night cream! I would often go to bed looking very frazzled and stressed, only to wake up looking fresh, relaxed and well-rested.
It is far too rich for me to use during the day, as it does make my skin greasy looking under my make-up, but as a night cream it just sinks in and creates a soft, fresh barrier against me and the outside world. I finished the sample and forked out the approx. $30 for the full size, as I thought that I had just found my miracle night cream!
It lasted a long time, about 5 months, especially after getting the hang of the push dispenser - a flat top that has a hole in it that needs to be pushed down next to the hole to force some cream out of the centre hole, when not pushed down, the hole is sealed by the flat surface and prevents air contamination of the product. The cream goes on smoothly and really sinks in. It has a lovely floral/fruity scent, but this can be too much for fragrance sensitive people.
I would recommend this cream to anyone, but if you have oily skin I would only use it at night. Get a sample first and try it out, it might be too rich for some skintypes.
Did I find my miracle night cream? I can't say that I have as I finished the jar and bought something else from another line afterwards. I just feel that despite being a very good cream, it is too expensive for me to buy as a regular addition to my skincare regime. I might buy it again when Clarins' runs their discovery size promotions, but right now I'm not prepared to fork out that kind of money every few months.
Just an addition to my previous review, I did buy another jar about 3 weeks ago. I'm still looking fresh and radiant in the mornings, as I still only use it as a night cream. I bought it from my local chemist as he always gives me a 20% discount on Clarins products. It is expensive for a cream, but last time it lasted quite a long time making it much more worth while. I just need to add that in conjunction with the fresh face, I am also amazed as to how soft my face is when I wake up.
I still recommend this cream, but it is not for the budget conscious.
