XBox trumps Gamecube and PS2

Great graphics (for its generation), exclusive HALO platform, XBOX live

DVD kit extra $20
The Bottom Line:
If you cannot go for one of the newer systems, and enjoy action oriented games, this is a great choice. XBOX live will greatly improve the fun as well.

The XBOX original is far superior to its main class rivals, the Gamecube and PS2, if you are a gamer looking for heavy gaming and blockbuster titles such as the exclusive HALO - which is in itself, when paired with XBOX online, an awesome experience (get the headset too).
The XBOX controller is great also, it took me no "getting used to" and you dont even have to think about how it feels, which is important when you are playing. However, it would have been nice if the plastic wasnt so smooth, and it was perhaps rubberized (by the way I am referring to the standard conrollers), to offset any sweat during intense gameplay. The controller cables also have neat feature so that if you pull in a way that causes the cable to cause too much tension, it will simply disconnect by itself from the XBOX, and will not make the XBOX fall to the floor. However, the cables are quite long enough so this was never a problem for me.
The graphics are great (for its generation), I believe they were technically (on paper) superior to PS2, and they look that way as well in life on my TV.
XBOX live is awesome, easy to use, but I won't delve into that because this is an XBOX review only.
