As close to perfect as any wrestling game has come before or since
Date of Review: Sep 19, 2009
The Bottom Line: I would definately recommend this game to any fan of either wrestling or fightings games in general it a real fun experience.
Alright folks I know this game has been out for a couple of years now but I'm gonna review it for you as a wrestler myself and a lover of wrestling games Iv'e got to tell you this is as close to perfect as any wrestling game has gotten before or since this game. Here are some reasons to by this game.
First of all The graphics are great for a wrestling game all the characters looks like the real thing. The backrounds true to form as well.
The Gameplay is equally as great awesome collision detection. The control styles are great too and easy to adapt to.
The Create a wrestler is very deep and fun to mess with. I use mine to create a crap load of wrestling legends such as Jake Roberts, Barry Windham,Dustin Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, and other like them.
Create a belt mode is even better than it was in 2006. But I do have a gripe about this a minor gripe is that there aren't a whole lot of recognizable titles to make on this version like there was in 2008. But thats minor.
Create a entrance mode is also good but I also have a minor gripe with this one as well when you creat a stable and go to create a entrance you only have 3 choices which suck good example I created Arn Anderson and Tully Blanchard to put them with Ric Flair as the Horsemen. But I could only make them come out like DX NWO or MNM. Like I said that is also a minor gripe.
The Roster is loaded with talent especially the legends roster where in this Smackdown vs Raw game we get the following. Hulk Hogan,Mr. Perfect,Dusty Rhodes, Bret Hart, Jim Neidhart,Tazz,The Rock,Bret Hart,Bam Bam Bigelow, Stone Cold Steve Austin,Cactus Jack,Mankind, and Dude Love, That is a great legends roster,
Now The regular roster is equally as good and It is the very last WWE game to have the late great Chris Benoit in it as well.
The Audo is as you would expect for a wrestling game nothing special there.
Game modes are pretty fun too there are a whole lot of match types for exhibition mode where you can even defend all the wwe titles and your created belts either against the computer or a friend.
GM mode is back in this game and even better than in the 2006 version with even more choices and it makes for a very fun experience.
Story Mode is also back in this one and like GM mode greatly improved.
Challenge mode is fun as well but very challenging but if you wanna unlock the bonus titles, The Hardcore title and the Million Dollar Belt you must complete all challenges,
The Locker Room is back too so you diehard wwe fans can customize it to your liking.
Well folks thats my review of this game there are only two minor minor things wrong with this game otherwise its perfect and definately worth the purchase.
