This is a great PDA.
Date of Review: Mar 29, 2007
The Bottom Line: This PDA would suit just about everybody, from beginners to professionals. If you're looking for one and don't HAVE to have MS, then this is the one to have.
I have had this for about a year and I love it. It has a bright screen, lots of memory, and the battery life seems pretty sufficient. I bought in January 2006 so I've had it for a little over a year. I use it for phone numbers and addresses, memos, reminders (alarm sound is loud), occasional surfing, playing the occasional game, and reading books.
I had planned on buying a Dell X51V but when the T|X came out I changed my mind. I bought is direct from Palm because they were running a special that threw in a hard-shell case for free. I have since bought a clear case from Boxwave that is great because it allows me to read without having the case open.
The T|X accepts up to 2GB SD cards, which is enough to care a couple of movies and/or some music. The included speaker sounds pretty bad, of course, but the sound through headphones is pretty good.
The only things that I don't like about it are they don't include a charging cradle for it and it's not easy to connect to the connector on the bottom. OTOH, there are lots of accessories you can buy for it, including charging cradles (I have two, one each for home and work), car charging cables(yup, got one of those, too), cases, AA battery case for charging the internal batteries(yup), etc.
All in all, if I had it to do over again, I would definitely buy it again. As a matter of fact, I once thought that I had either lost this one or it had been stolen and so I started pricing it again.
In case you can't already tell, I really like this PDA and almost never go anywhere without it.
