The Bottom Line: Not for the average user.
Ok xp 64 bit.
If you cant get around in vista and you have a strong computer with 4 gb of RAM a AMD 64 bit or Intels core 2 duo cpu you will definetly like xp 64. It is definetly more faster than 32 bit xp and smoother. Now the main problem like vista 64 bit is that you cant install all the software you want. Either it wont install at all or it will install and then it will cause nothing but trouble.I had it for about 3 months and I liked it, but since I'm a game freak I couldnt install some games that I wanted to play. If you have a laptop like me DONT INSTALL IT. Simple reason you wont find all the drivers need for it to run fine. You will have to use similar drivers from other manufacturers or search for the part manufacturer which is very very time consuming. Also you wont find any nvidia drivers if your laptop has an nvidia Gpu. You can find modified drivers on some forums like amdplanet or similar. Also the main thing why I didnt like it is because I couldnt use the 64 bit Intenet Explorer. It will run but unfortuanetly Adobe doesnt have a flash activex control to support it. I dont know if this is Adobe's or Microsoft's error but after numerous posts and forums I gave up. It's stable and fast - one of the fastest operating systems I worked on but not for the average user.
