A Western shooter mixing first- and third-person viewpoints, this simplistically entitled game is far from a simple shooter in chaps and a holster. The early demo we witnessed in San Francisco last month is a bloody and gruesome action-adventure title, in which Neversoft is intent on capturing the wild nature of the American West in the late 19th Century. This original story follows the life of Colton White, reared as a mountain man in Montana close to the headwaters of Missouri. He accompanies his father, Ned White, to a steamboat to meet a friend, and quickly after, all hell breaks loose. Onboard a fight breaks out; a preacher kills your dad's friend; your dad gives you a special mysterious medallion; and before the boat explodes he throws you over and says, "I'm not your father." The game offers free-roaming exploration as well as set story missions and side missions. Less

Packed full of "Legends"

by zero777 , Apr 10, 2006
Pros: You get four great games in one disk.
Cons: There are some sound glitches in "Majora's Mask," but it's not a huge problem.
The Bottom Line: A collection of four great games. A must have in any Zelda lover's collection. And a real treat for investigators into the series.

Review: When I found out what this disk had, I just had to have it. It's a real must for any Zelda fan, but it's guaranteed to be enjoyed by any gamer (even if they've never played the series). The disk includes four great Zelda classics, the first two of...

Four different "Legends"

by mysticalchickn , May 8, 2005
Pros: Includes three of the best games ever made.
Cons: Zelda 2. And Majora's Mask is extremely buggy.
The Bottom Line: I gave it four stars, but it should really be 3 1/2 because I really dislike Zelda 2, and because of MM's bugginess.

Review: I was introduced to the Zelda franchise in 1992, when I was 13. My little brother (then around 8 years old, now 20) had a friend who owned A Link to the Past. I borrowed it and immediately became hooked. I never actually owned ALTTP until I got a...
