A Western shooter mixing first- and third-person viewpoints, this simplistically entitled game is far from a simple shooter in chaps and a holster. The early demo we witnessed in San Francisco last month is a bloody and gruesome action-adventure title, in which Neversoft is intent on capturing the wild nature of the American West in the late 19th Century. This original story follows the life of Colton White, reared as a mountain man in Montana close to the headwaters of Missouri. He accompanies his father, Ned White, to a steamboat to meet a friend, and quickly after, all hell breaks loose. Onboard a fight breaks out; a preacher kills your dad's friend; your dad gives you a special mysterious medallion; and before the boat explodes he throws you over and says, "I'm not your father." The game offers free-roaming exploration as well as set story missions and side missions. Less

Metroid Gaiden

by onionhead2001 , Feb 14, 2006
Pros: The perfect "expansion pack" for those who lived and loved the first one.
Cons: Cripplingly difficult at times, with some discouraging frustrations early on.
The Bottom Line: An excellent sequel, marred only by a few details that might turn off the casual crowd.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: This review is pretty late to the party, which means it won't get too many reads, but anything I can do to turn a few more people on to this spectacular (but difficult) game will be worth it. I'm particularly inclined to write after seeing that...

Metroid Prime meets A Link To The Past

Pros: Fun fun fun til the Daddy takes the Game Cube away!
Cons: No Ice Beam, No Wave Beam. That's all, seriously.
The Bottom Line: Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is just as good as the original. What in the world could have kept me all this time!?

Review: Boy oh boy, you remember back in the days of the first Mega Man games, how every single one of the games looked, felt and played almost identically? Were you to walk in and see someone playing any of the first six Mega Man games on the NES...

Review: I was not really up for this game when I saw it on a commercial. A game called GUN seemed like nothing but a brainless shoot em up game. Those games are seemingly pointless to me. But after watching a trailer I found myself picking up a copy from...
